Contest 21: Create an eLearning Guide Character

Inspired by our recent Keys to Storytelling in eLearning eBook release, Contest 21 is all about creating your own guide character. Adding a virtual guide character is a great way to engage your learners and help them feel a little less lonely when taking online training instead of a classroom training session.

For Contest 21, we’re challenging you to come up with your own guide and show how you would incorporate him/her/it on at least 3 different pages of an eLearning module. But, there’s a catch—you cannot use any premade guides or character cutouts! Step away from the eLearning Brothers Cutout People library and embrace your creativity.

Can you create a guide character using only Lectora’s standard shapes, lines, and clipart images? Or perhaps draw one using Pixlr for Lectora Online?

Take a look at this blog post on Using a Guide Character in Your Online Course for some creative examples of guide characters.
Good luck! I can’t wait to see what you create! Entries are due by July 1, 2017.
