Getting to go to my first Conference next year, after years and years of asking / nagging my boss! Looking forward to it.

Any advice to get the most out of it (or tips to survive) would be most welcome 🙂

Yay! So glad you’re able to attend this year. Here’s some of my tips and keep an eye out for a blog post (subscribe if you aren’t already to make sure you don’t miss anything; http://trivantis.com/blog).

Tip 1: Announce that you’re going. This way you can sit back and see who else is going. Then schedule or note individuals to connect with beforehand. (Which you’ve already done!)

Tip 2: Take notes during each session. Either bring a paper and pen, tablet, or laptop to record your thoughts. Most employers want you to present information after returning and this ensures you’ve written down the high points and your thoughts while attending sessions. If your more tech savvy or just love Twitter you could live tweet your thoughts. It’s a great way to look back on a conscious stream of your experience. Don’t forget to use the hashtag #LUC2016!

Tip 3: Declutter your mind every night. Conferences are jam packed with content and information so you’ll want to take some time each night to declutter your mind. This makes sure you’re ready to accept new content and information the next day. You can write down some of your lingering thoughts about sessions, take a walk (on the beach!), or meditate. Whatever works best for you!
