Stitched Leather Theme Template

When Lectora 12 first came out, I was eager to play with all of the new graphic tools (shapes, gradients, texture fills, shadows, opacity, etc.) to see what kinds of looks I could get using little or no Photoshop. This theme template is one of those experiments. Use it if you like it!

To use a Lectora template file (.awp), choose Create New Title from the File tab, then choose My Templates. At the top-right side of the interface, you will see an Import button. Click that and navigate to the .awp file. Once imported, you can choose the template thumbnail and then click on the Create from Template button at the bottom of the interface.

Why is the background in several pieces instead of one graphic? I could understand if elements of the background changed based on user interaction.

    Hi dtate,
The idea I had when I made this template was to try to achieve something that looked like it was made in an image editing package, like Photoshop, but using only shapes and effects available within Lectora. This required many layers, just as it would in Photoshop. You could easily convert this to a single graphic image though by hiding the pieces you don’t want (logo, title, etc.) and making a screen capture of it.

I understand now. It didn’t occur to me at the time that not everyone has Photoshop or the skills to make such a design. Very nice!

I didn’t thoroughly read the description either as I was running through everything on limited time!
