Are there any suggestions/recommendations for providing real-time support to CourseMill users?
I have some familiarity with the Instant Message feature; however, the problem I run into is that a user can IM any instructor with no guarantee he/she will respond. So, if I need assistance and Instructors A, B, and C are logged in, the student may message Instructor A even if he/she is away from their desk.
Is there any way to allow a user to send a message to a single ‘Instructor’ and have whomever is available pick it up?
Unfortunately, there is not a way to send an Instance Message to a “general instructor” of the course. One way you may achieve this is to use the bulletin board feature. This of course is open to anyone associated with the course (students and instructors).
