    Hi all,

I have embedded a streaming video on a page which runs ok but in preview mode or on the LMS it shows the code used as well as the video. How can I stop this happening. I can find nothing in properties to hide this code.

    Any advice welcome.

    Pip

Hi @pvalleley3585 I haven’t been able to recreate this. Can you give us your title, or at least the page with the video issue?

Hi.  The title is called “How private is your personal information” and the page is simply called “Video”.

    Thanks

    Hi Pip (@pvalleley3585)

Try putting that … tag inside an ExternalHTML object of type other.

    See if that works better.

Thank you for the information but despite trying I do not understand how to do this.  I cannot get find an ExternalHTML.  I can get to Insert, HTML extension and set this as other but cannot find a way to copy in the code so I guess this is not correct.  Can you explain how to do this in a bit more detail (I am using Lectora Online).

    Thanks.  Pip

    Hi Pip (@pvalleley3585)

Sorry for the misinformation. Yes, you want to insert an HTML Extension and paste the embed information copied from step 3 as described in this article: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/stream/portal-embed-video

You can click the Edit button in the properties ribbon of the HTML Extension, then paste the embed information (see attached picture).

You will need to set the size of the HTML Extension on the position & size tab so it matches the size of the video.

Click page preview after doing this and the video should display.

Hi Joe, yes this does work, I had got that far but got confused when I opened the edit box!

Out of interest why does the code show when I went the other route of inserting a streaming video?  Why does the code show?

    Regards

    Pip

Is there anyway of adding an action to show the next page button once the video has done playing using this method of inserting it?

    Thanks

    Hi Pip (@pvalleley3585)

I didn’t see any way to do that, you might ask here:
    https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-stream/ct-p/MicrosoftStream

There might also be a way to just get a MPEG-DASH or HLS URL which could be put directly into our player. Sorry, I don’t know much about MS stream, maybe someone else does here.
