I’ve raised a ticket about the seamless play function, because I’ve discovered that having it turned off has resulted in the Vimeo fullscreen icon disappearing from my published course.
I’ve had it turned off because I have an action sitting at the top level of my title that uses the “this page” variable, because it prevents the action from working correctly, since there is no such thing as “this page” when seamless play is turned on.
I’m writing about this again, because I think that anyone who has an action at the top level, that refers to “this page”, will find that their action doesn’t work when publishing with seamless play turned on (and it’s turned on by default). This seems like an issue to me, so I’m curious to know if anyone else thinks this will present problems.
I don’t really care for seamless play, but I do want my action to work and I do want the fullscreen icon to work, so it seems like a problem to me.
In doing some checking here on similar titles everything seems to be working fine with the Tracking variables when published both with and without Seamless Play enabled. However, we did find that the value may get cached and therefore not report properly on subsequent attempts. Try clearing your browser cache (in browser settings or Ctrl+Shift+Del) and see if you get the same result.
With additional investigation, we did find an issue related to the combination of On Show actions, tracking variables, and Seamless Play publishing. It has been passed along to the development team to address as soon as possible in an upcoming release. In the meanwhile, you will need to publish without Seamless Play enabled. Sorry for the inconvenience.
