    Hi all

    I’m using Lectora 16.

I have a title that allows full or limited access triggered by a button on page 1.

There is a menu at the title level and it is set to hide if variable=1.

The first chapter is only accessed if variable=1 and i want the menu to show when in this chapter.

From this chapter I link into the remaining chapters and I want the menu to hide again.

In the first chapter, I have a show page action set to show the menu (even though variable=1).

This works (almost) perfectly as i move back and forth between the first chapter and pages within the other chapters. The problem is that the menu does not appear immediately on return to the page, it appears after i move my mouse. So if i don’t move my mouse, it does not appear at all.

I hope this all makes sense, and can anyone offer any suggestions please?

    Thanks

    Amanda

It doesn’t have a ‘mouse enter/exit’ action does it?

Actually, I have solved it by adding another condition to the hide menu action. I realised I could use the “CurrentChapterName” variable and make it a condition.

    So on the menu object:

on page show hide this object if variable = 1 AND CurrentChapterName not equal to MyChapter.

Works well. Maybe writing it out helped me figure it out.

    Thanks!
