Course design can really be inspired by anything. Color pallets came come from pictures, and whole design styles can come from reading an article or seeing something posted online. I was recently inspired by an article from the Creative Market, “10 Brilliant Graphic Design Trends of 2016.” In the article they listed the top 10 graphic design trends:
- Flat 2.0
- Bold, Playful Typography
- Whimsical Illustrations
- The New Retro
- Minimalist Logotypes
- Geometric Shapes
- Print Inspired
- Abstract Swiss
- Movies and Cartoons
Which got me thinking, how can I incorporate a graphic design trend into an eLearning project? My personal favorite trend is geometric shapes. I love when a presentation, poster, or course play on a single shape and use it in different ways.
