For what it’s worth, here is the solution to the chiming/bell/clanging/beeping (actually not a real beep) etc… 🙂
No… it was not Math’s wife’s phone, nor my wife’s…
This happens when the name you give to a page/section or whatever (in the left-hand pane) contains (presumably) unauthorized characters (such as punctuation e.g. a dash is not ok but an underscore is ok).
The title still runs but when you are editing it then the annoying noise occurs.
Hmmm… maybe I should immerse myself in a reading of the manual. I wonder if it is in there.
I think that looks genial Math! I was not aware that you could change media files like that. It does mean that I can use OnDonePlaying which, of course, is much more precise than the delays I put in and less troublesome.
That sounds like such an intriguing idea. I would never have thought of that.
Actually, I do have another question for the community related to the above but will probably start another thread.
Thank you (and my other guardian angels) for spending time to help me with this issue 🙂
I hope this does not disrupt the thread too much but I was intrigued (and found ingenious) @theav-ator‘s solution of dropping someone else’s flash files into Lectora and publishing as SCORM. How would you actually do that? How would you pass variables etc.? Sounds interesting.
Sergey is right that OnDone does not always work. The way I fixed it was to modify the recording slightly and resave it as MP3 (actually using the Lectora editor) and that seemed to do the trick (at least this time). Hope that helps others.
